WORLD CLASS PROGRAMME

Exciting news!!  Teigan Smith is about to follow in her big sister’s footsteps and join the GB Taekwondo World Class Programme in Manchester.  From the beginning of July she will become a full time athlete training at the National Academy, with an end goal of the 2028 Olympics.

Teigan, who is 16 and just about to leave Larbert High School, started training with Central Academy a couple of months before her 4th birthday!
Over the past few years she has been guided by her dad Darren, the club’s Sport TKD coach and has been winning medals at some of Europe’s biggest championships.

It is a big step from the Development Squad onto the Olympic Programme but Teigan has all the experience of her sister Jordyn to call on.

Teigan becomes the 4th Central Academy member in recent years to join the World Class Programme after Asia, Hassan and Jordyn.

We wish her the very best of luck and look forward to seeing her compete at all the big major events in the future.

Well done Teigan!  Everyone at the club is super proud.
